Core Beliefs
What we believe about God shapes everything else. Our faith is rooted in Scripture and centered on Jesus Christ, His Kingdom, and the work of the Holy Spirit. These beliefs form the foundation of our worship, our community, and our mission.
God
We believe in one eternal God, infinite and unchanging, perfect in holiness, wisdom, goodness, justice, power, and love. He eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three persons, one God, equal in power and glory.
The Kingdom of God
We believe God is King over all creation. He created all things, sustains all things, and rules over all things. His Kingdom is everlasting, and everything He created was good and exists ultimately for His glory.
Mankind and the Fall
We believe God created humanity in His image, male and female, for relationship with Him and to steward His creation. Through humanity's rebellion, sin and death entered the world, separating us from God and leaving creation broken and in need of redemption.
Covenant and Redemption
We believe that even after humanity’s rebellion, God did not abandon His creation. He established His covenant, called a people to Himself, and set His plan of redemption in motion, ultimately fulfilled through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ and His Kingdom
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. Through His life, death, resurrection, and ascension, He defeated sin and death, reconciled us to God, and inaugurated the Kingdom of God. Jesus reigns as King and Lord over all.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and is present and active in the Church today. He indwells every believer, and we believe in the baptism and continual filling of the Holy Spirit, empowering believers for worship, witness, and ministry. We believe all the biblical gifts of the Spirit continue today and are given for the strengthening of the Church and the advancement of God’s Kingdom.
The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and our final authority for faith and life. Through Scripture, God reveals Himself, His purposes, and His plan of redemption, leading us to Jesus and teaching us how to live faithfully as His people.
Salvation
We believe salvation is the gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, our sins are forgiven, we are reconciled to God, and we are made new by the Holy Spirit. Salvation begins a life of following Jesus and being transformed into His likeness.
The Church
We believe the Church is the people of God, united to Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Together we worship, grow as disciples, care for one another, proclaim the gospel, and continue the ministry of Jesus in the world.
Baptism and Communion
We believe Jesus gave baptism and communion to His Church as visible expressions of the gospel. In baptism, believers publicly identify with the death and resurrection of Jesus. In communion, we remember His sacrifice, celebrate the new covenant, and proclaim His death until He comes.
The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead and bring His Kingdom to its fullness. God will raise the dead, renew creation, and dwell forever with His people. Sin, death, and suffering will be no more, and the Kingdom of God will endure forever.
